Sketch Charlotte at the Charlotte Comic-Con

This past weekend an abbreviated Sketch Charlotte crew (Rich Barrett, Tom Davidson and Eraklis Petmezas) appeared at the Charlotte Comic-Con. It was a fun day of selling mini-comics and being surrounded by other local artists like Area 51 Comics and Bitter Tea Studios.

Tom and Herc each sold a good bunch of their various comics. I was making my first ever con appearance with my freshly printed first issue of my webcomic Nathan Sorry.

The best part of the day though was when my two biggest fans showed up wearing surprise Nathan Sorry t-shirts.

Luke Cage – then & now

This was a commission for my buddy Ted. He couldn’t decide which Luke Cage to go with so we just made a playing card out of it and used both versions! Microns & Copics on bristol – 9 x 12

Stuff

Hey Guys- so Tom Corbett #3 dropped yesterday- I’m totally wrapped up with that series- hurray!   I just wrapped up a 3 piece commission and as a cool off piece, I wanted to show some of my creator owned stuff. This is Raiko, one of the characters in my japanese – inspired fairy tale- for Kids…  The posing seems a little off, but this isn’t going to be used for anything special.  Done in Illustrator CS3 in about an hour.

Blast from the Past

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Hey there, remember me? Hope everybody had a good holiday. I wanted to share some of what I’ve been working on lately. If you’d like to see more I’ve got an album of comics at http://www.myspace.com/tessgadwa. That’s sort of a placeholder until I can get a real comics blog together… hopefully January.

I still follow the blog and I really miss you guys. I’ve looked for a similar group here in MA and have not yet found one. Let me know if you ever make it up to cons in the NYC area or elsewhere in the Northeast!

I still don't like drawing in Illustrator, but I suppose it was a good experience...

Wedding Favor, Side One

I did this bookmark (front and back) as a wedding favor for friends.

These two are actually old (Fall 07) but I wanted to get permission from the bride and groom before posting.
