This is one of my 20 minute exercises. I draw as much as I can and get as much character in as possible in 20 minutes. I generally do this in lieu of my lunch break…and sometimes during call-in meetings. I’ve never completed a full piece in 20 minutes, but it helps nonetheless. I can cut a bit more loose when I’m not stifled by trying to render all the minutiae.
Animal Man is arguably my favorite character, and I’m definitely gonna take a crack at doing a fully inked piece of him soon.
