Well, below is my latest comic. What, is this the first-ever comic-story uploaded to Sketch Charlotte in its entirety??? ;) My simple tale is inspired by the Seneca story titled "The Origin of Stories". I created this over the past couple of weeks (inbetween fulltime school and work) for a project in American Lit. Native American writing has really made a huge impact on me as a cartoonist. Given my time constrainsts, I opted for a minimalist approach to the cartooning, but was amazed at still how much work it all was. I also tried my best to make it as "sexy" as I could. Now, onto issue #3. :)

Love this. It's beautiful and profound. Extra points for making the first Human a woman...

Cool, thanks! The drawings are hugely simple, but still, telling a story in words and pictures start to finish is T-O-U-G-H, but I'm really digging it. And making the first human woman just seemed "right" to me, for some reason ... kind of magical. In keeping with that, I had to make sure that the first people who were laughing at Cloud were female, too. :) I can't wait to show you all the finished printed comic, which is better than the online one.
My professor, when I turned it in, asked if I had another copy. "Um, well, no, but I'm going to make other copies," I said, telling him I had the originals and could make other copies of the comic. "Well, um, can I have this?" he asked nervously. It was WEIRD, because my teacher, a super intelligent PhD in Lit. was really INTO what I had made. So I told him he had the #1 copy, and he was quite tickled when I made out his copy personally to him. :)

Tom, great clean art and story telling. I loved the shading as well. I would glady pay you for a copy of the comic. Keep up the great work.
