During a down pour after school, Eli Greene is almost home. He's the last kid on the bus, and his stop is next. Climbing out into the rain, the boy takes sight of his mother and heads in her direction.
Ignoring the flashing lights of the bus, a car is speeding straight towards Eli. In that moment, when reality should define the doom of Eli, Fate interrupts having opened a doorway to a new and impossible world, shattering the bounds of reality.

Welcome to the Wintergate. A land where monsters, ninjas and magic run free and every creature is more amazing than the last. A land where reality has no meaning. Now, with the help of amazing new friends, Eli discovers his placing in the Wintergate is more than an act of fate, but a means to define his destiny.
