Nice to meet you too, if only for 15 minutes. You've got to put up those videos you and Matt did back in college... I'd love to see them.

Welcome to the team, David. I hope you survive the experience.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
And Tess...no, you don't want to see Room 506. ; )

It's not what it sounds like... Room 506 was the name of the show.. the Lettermanesque show was set in a dorm room... the interviewees sat on a bed instead of a couch and Matt sat behind a desk... the title name came from my actual room that year.
I WILL see what I can do to you tube at least parts of the shows (there were 10 episodes, including one not aired... but that's a different story)

Oh, no. David and I had a blast watching the shows a week or two ago. We had a Room 506 marathon.
It was a great learning experience. I started off in radio in Charlotte then went to college radio, and then David approached me about doing a David Letterman type show he wanted to produce.
I'm a huge Letterman fan so I said yes. We filmed the show on campus but it ended up running on Public Access television. This was about 11 years ago so there were not a million stations on cable yet.
It was a great learning experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The show wears its influences on its sleeves.
Probably the best thing about the experience is David I became best friends after we both moved back to Charlotte. I was David's bestman at his wedding and he was my "best witness" at my elopement. ; )
David finally completed editing his wedding DVD and Laura & I watched it Thursday night. It was so cool to watch.
