Hickory Con 2006! Empire vs. artists

Artist Diego Jourdan and Writer Matt Starnes were apprehended by The Empire at the Hickory Con 2006.
Tom, John, Herc, Diego, and Matt all attended the Hickory Con on Saturday September 23. We all had a great time. Hopefully we will have some more pictures posted in the next day or two.
Special thanks to Tim and Eddie for hosting the show and giving us a table in a good location.
John DaCosta did a great Star Wars Biker Scout sketch for…well a Star Wars Biker Scout.
Shout out to the 501 st Troup of Imperial dudes and dudettes. These folks volunteer and help with charities.

I’m just glad I’m not the only one who couldn’t hold Diego’s camera steady… Every pic I tried to take with it came out shakey.

I drew a commission of the Trooper with the gun on Diego’s head. and a guy in Star Trek uniform. it was a pretty good experience for me as my first exhibition at a con, and Hanging out with Sketch Charlotte and 803 was a blast. I can’t wait for the next time our group sets up.

Hey John, you might want to try a little bit of the Unsharp Mask feature in Photoshop… works wonders on blurry photos, way better than the regular Sharpen filter.

I too would love to see more photos from the event, blurry or not! Anyway, glad you guys had a good time, and even got a few commissions along the way.
